We would be grateful if you would take a moment to fill out this form so we can be as prepared as possible.
This will help us determine how many rings we will need to set up and how much food to have on hand.
(Pre-registering is not required to participate but it would help us out)
Scoring
Decimal system, 5.0 - 10.
Each judge will give two separate scores. First score will be the whole number, second score will be the decimal.
Scoring will be based on form accuracy and confidence.
Contestants will not be penalized for doing a previous belt pattern. You are there to impress the judges, don't show a pattern you haven't had time to learn properly.
Youth
Matches will consist of two - 1 minute rounds - stop for points
Adults
Matches will consist or two - 1 1/2 minute rounds - stop for points.
Points
1 point - proper kick or proper punch to the part of the body covered by the chest protector.
2 points - proper controlled kick to the sides of the head covered by the head gear. No punches or hand technique to the head (We might have a separate "no head contact" division, we are currently discussing it)
All contestants will be required to wear gloves, shin-instep pads, mouth guard, head gear, and chest protector.
All males will be required to wear groin protection. No exceptions
We will have a limited number of head gear and chest protectors for all to use. Please bring whatever you have. We will also have a limited number of gloves, shin-instep pads, mouth guards, and groin protection available for purchase.
Youth
Technique will vary by contestant age and experience level and will be determined by ring head judge. Scoring will be based solely number of boards broken.
Adults (all belt levels)
5 board "blind" station breaking. Scoring will be based on number of boards broken as well as time.
Scoring
